In order to run the length of NZ, it seems there is a To do list of organisational tasks almost as long as the country itself. While most people (very reasonably) ask about the training for this type of event, what you might not know is how many other things need to happen too. Things that need to be researched, planned, bought, booked, booked 3 extra times in case she is too slow to make the first booking, tried on, communicated, borrowed, advised upon, advised against, ignored, double checked, cooked, ordered online, click and collected, substituted for when collect fell through, re-communicated and re-planned.
So it is not surprising that some of those tasks got divvied up and thrown out to friends and family (amazing people that you are). Lucky me got the call up about 20 hours before the big start date. The To Do that I was asked to do, was finish some last minute tweaks to this website and get it published. Thus providing one source of truth for this mission, a place anyone can come to check out what is going on, use the Where's Wally to track, where is that Wally, and link in to HeartKids NZ to show support.
To complete my task I was text the login details.
Well, jokes on you Brookey, now I'm admin of the site and you're too busy running to stop me.
So the next blog ladies, gents and all in between, is on me.
Whenever I get around to it.
